In 2019, Heimildin reported that a shaming list of workers that have taken days off for health reasons 🇮🇸 was made public in the workplace. This breach of confidentiality was confirmed to the newspaper by several workers. As a consequence, the union Efling sent the case to the Data Protection Authority.
An employee said in an interview to Heimildin that he is tired of seeing coworkers in tears at work 🇮🇸 until they have to quit. According to the union Efling, the bosses commonly use humiliation as a management method, and foreign workers are kept below.
